  What made YOU drop Christianity?

  after i read coc and left the dubs for a short while i considered myself christian.

  the way franz explained it, all that is required is to have faith in jesus and to love your neighbor as yourself and then you will be 'saved'.

  the more i started pealing away at the onion though the dumber the premise of someone dying for my 'sins' seemed, and i just lost faith in it altogether.

  Saying you are a Jehovah's Witness, Catholic or Mormon are just brand names! :D I was thinking about this recently!
  
  Playstation, Gamecube, and X Box (...) -- They are all computer game consoles!
  
  Coke, Pepsi, Fanta- Brand names!
  
  :D You forgot about, Lutherans, Baptist, Presbyterians, Orthodox, Methodist, Disciples of Christ, Pentacostal, the list goes on

  JW Mother Mourns Pope's Death

  i was surprised to discover how my mother felt about the passing of the pope.

  she mentioned even though he is different (regarding religion) he is still human and death is always something painful.

  i overheard her discussion with my grandfather and she said he did good things and jehovah can grant him resurrection.

  I was surprised to discover how my mother felt about the passing of the Pope. She mentioned even though he is different (regarding religion) he is still human and death is always something painful. I overheard her discussion with my grandfather and she said he did good things and Jehovah can grant him resurrection. It seems she is displaying the love Jesus taught. I hope she doesnt share her view with other JW, I think that can get her in trouble.

  Pole that is a question that should be asked to the majority of Christiandom and not just the JW's, excluding 1914.

  By the way the anwser to question number three can be found in Reasoning from the Scriptures, its a poor one.
